Chairman Conyers Addresses Fox News

Yesterday, Fox News Channel broke the story of Rep. William Jefferson’s indictment with video of Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers greeting Attorney General Alberto Gonzales at a recent Judiciary Committee hearing. The network apologized on-air for airing the wrong video; however, they did not personally apologize to Mr. Conyers or describe the video they aired the previous day. Chairman Conyers responded today:

“Fox News has a history of inappropriate on-air mistakes that are neither fair, nor balanced. This type of disrespect for people of color should no longer be tolerated. I am personally offended by the network’s complete disregard for accuracy in reporting and lackluster on-air apology.”

The Mollycoddling of Rosie O’Donnell

As someone who appreciates provocateurs, I have less of an issue with the spectacle she creates than the following might imply. It’s more her enablers to whom this is targeted; the molly coddlers who want Rosie to be Rosie. Which is much in the manner of desiring a crack head to be a crack head. It’s an unhealthy attraction to a fatal flaw.

    Alive

The first day of the post-Rosie O’Donnell
era on “The View” television show has come and gone, and by any
fair accounting, an often useful provocateur has left the
    building.

In her final months on the air, she mostly dropped her public
torment of an attention-starved, orange-haired real estate
developer. Instead, she opened debates with others about terrorism,
    peace and citizenship.

She also recently took up — without quite spelling out — a
theory that one of the buildings at the World Trade Center, No. 7,
was brought down by bombs late in the afternoon of Sept. 11, 2001.
No. 7 was not one of the towers struck by the airplanes, she said,
but a separate building “that got hit by nothing — 47 floors and
    dropped, 5:30, into itself.”

Rosie seems not to realize how ignoble her selfish quiting is. Where is a realization that the people behind 9/11 have every reason to play hardball? What kind of battle did Rosie think she was fighting.

And Rosie thinks it’s OK for her to take her toys and go home???! (Rosie actually tries and fails to address this specific question in the vid below).

Rosie claims to support the innocents, and she doesn’t acknowledge she gave up the position with huge continued potential to reach people from The View.

While O’Donnell and Hasselbeck had a tiff, to be sure, it was Fox guest Curtis Sliwa who actually threatened violence, openly and on national television expressing his wish to take a baseball bat to O’Donnell and beat her like a “human piñata.”…

Obviously such misogyny is normal for men of little intellect and commonplace among the Fox propagandists. But it is not what these lunatics say that is at issue; rather, it is how the country reacts or does not react that is of concern.

Covert action: In her blog, Larisa also has some much needed words for Mitt Romney, who takes ABC News to task for reporting on an unauthorized covert action undertaken by the intelligence community. The lack of authorization did not bother Mitt; the reporting ticked him off.

In a report detailing Rosie O’Donnell’s confirmed plans

    Rosie O'Donnell's 9/11 Question

The debate over the third building that collapsed at ground zero on Sept. 11, 2001, is back.

On the campaign trail, former Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani and a former senior aide are blaming each other for setting up the city’s emergency command center in a building at the World Trade Center that would be evacuated during its biggest emergency ever, collapsing hours later because of damage sustained in the terrorist attack.

Or was detonated from within? Rosie O’Donnell smells a cover-up, and has been using her seat on her morning talk show, “The View,” to raise questions. Before leaving as a full-time host, she plans to tackle the issue in a special segment.

Just how crazy are the Dems?

A new poll on 9/11 indicates that they definitely have a paranoia problem.
MOST FAIR-MINDED readers will no doubt take me at my word when I say that a majority of Democrats in this country are out of their gourds.
But, on the off chance that a few cynics won’t take my word for it, I offer you data. Rasmussen Reports, the public opinion outfit, recently asked voters whether President Bush knew about the 9/11 attacks beforehand. The findings? Well, here’s how the research firm put it: “Democrats in America are evenly divided on the question of whether George W. Bush knew about the 9/11 terrorist attacks in advance. Thirty-five percent of Democrats believe he did know, 39% say he did not know and 26% are not sure.”

Video: Rosie’s newest 9/11 theories: Guilani moved steel, kept Command Control in WTC #7

On ABC’s “The View” this morning, host Rosie O’Donnell once again brought up her kooky 9/11 conspiracy theory about WTC #7, this time involving then-Mayor Rudy Giuliani. According to Big Ro, Giuliani ordered steel from WTC #7 be moved to China before any testing could be done. Pregnant co-host and conservative Elisabeth Hasselbeck couldn’t help but laugh.

Later in the segment co-host Joy Behar tries to dismiss Giuliani’s heroic role in the aftermath of 9/11, saying he didn’t remove Command Control from the World Trade Center. And guess which building that was in? WTC #7! The building, according to Rosie, that “mysteriously collapsed.” This gave Ro yet another chance to explain Trutherism to the audience.

Rosie Advances WTC 7 Conspiracy Theory Again

As Ken Shepherd reported earlier, on the May 14 edition of “The View” co-host Rosie O’Donnell once again advanced her now famous September 11 conspiracy theory. After admitting to a “cult personality,” Rosie engaged in a verbal spat with her colleague Elisabeth Hasselbeck on the merits of this crackpot theory.

Joy Behar accused former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani of incompetence in handling the lead up to and aftermath of the terrorist attacks of that horrific day. This prompted Rosie to note that Giuliani shipped some of the debris to China, implying the former mayor had evidence to hide. After Behar lashed out at Giuliani for not moving the Command/Control Center out of the World Trade Center after the 1993 bombing, Rosie advanced her conspiracy theory again.
