A Global Temperature Chart Not in Gore’s Movie (Updated)

Updated 12/11/2007
Even people who should know better than falling for Gore’s BS do:

Thoughts on Al Gore While Watching His Nobel Lecture

As Gore gave his Nobel lecture, some things occurred to me… maybe they did to you as well.
1. It was not only a great and well-informed speech, but it was obvious that Gore WROTE it. What do you suppose a speech actually written by George W. Bush would sound like?
2. Gore was not afraid to point the finger at the USA as well as at China as the biggest problems in the climate crisis. How would Bush have handled that issue?
3. Gore SOUNDED like a man who both knew what he was talking about and knew who he was talking with. Bush rarely sounds like he knows what he’s talking about (except maybe who he has branded with which comic nickname) and it’s never really clear who he is talking to.

So, you think today’s temperatures are out of the ordinary?

Nobel Laureate Al Gore does, and strongly made the case in his schlockumentary “An Inconvenient Truth” with all kinds of neat slides and graphs.

Of course, despite incessant claims of a consensus concerning this premise, not everyone agrees.

In fact, climatologist Cliff Harris and meteorologist Randy Mann, who, amongst other things, run a website called Long Range Weather, have created an absolutely marvelous long-term global temperature chart that wasn’t in Gore’s movie, and every climate alarmist in the media desperately hopes you never see it:

Unfortunately, to configure the picture in the space available, the text inside is a tad illegible. Those interested in viewing a larger more readable image should go here.

That said, it’s great stuff, wouldn’t you agree? And, so is this article by Harris and Mann entitled “Could This Cycle ‘Global Warming’ Finally Be Winding Down?” (emphasis added throughout):

For many years, following widespread ICE AGE predictions back in the 1970s, we’ve heard that our planet is warming up “at an alarming rate”. A study from the National Academy of Science claims that “global warming is real and has been strengthening since 1981.” These scientists say that the leading cause of this latest warming is the increasing emissions of greenhouse gases and carbon dioxide. They also state that by the year 2100, temperatures may increase by 2.5 degrees to as much as 10.4 degrees Fahrenheit above those of today.

Up until late 2002, much of the Northern Hemisphere north of Latitude 40 was actually becoming GREENER with less total ice. In fact, the average growing season had been extended by around 2 weeks based on satellite data at the time.

BUT, now, we believe that temperatures are beginning to cool again, particularly in north- central Canada where this summer there was only about 2 weeks between damaging freezes from late June into mid-July. One of our Harris-Mann Climatology clients went fishing between July 10-13 in northwestern Saskatchewan and reported “piles of ice” still on the ground in the region and temperatures close to the freezing mark.

Although the recent summers of the early 21st Century have been amongst the hottest and driest on record across most of the U.S., the winter seasons, by extreme contrast, have been some of the coldest in recorded history. For example, Siberia in Russia reported readings of -70 degrees in January of 2001.

Even if our planet is warming up as many scientists claim, we’re still much cooler today than we were four to eight-thousand years ago. In fact, there were probably no mid-latitude glaciers about 800 million years ago, because the Earth’s climate was so mild at the time.

Temperatures today are primarily measured over concrete surfaces compared to grassy ones years ago. We all know that concrete and asphalt absorb heat and this often results in higher afternoon temperatures, especially when we have conditions of very little wind. During a typical hot, summer day, high temperatures may be as much as 3-7 degrees warmer at the official airport or downtown locations compared to outlying rural areas.

Mann and Harris went on to discuss the heat island effect in a fashion that very much confirms the work of Anthony Watts previously reported by NewsBusters.

With that in mind, the reader is strongly encouraged to read the entire piece.

It’s Time to do Your Part. Al Gore and Others Can’t Shoulder the Responsibility Alone. “Fight Global Warming Now.”

Fight Global Warming Now: The Handbook for Taking Action in Your Community (Paperback)
By Bill McKibben and the “Step It Up Team”
BuzzFlash.com’s Review (excerpt)
“The rate of warming is increasing. The 20th century’s last two decades were the hottest in 400 years and possibly the warmest for several millennia, according to a number of climate studies. And the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reports that 11 of the past 12 years are among the dozen warmest since 1850.”

From the Introduction to “Fight Global Warming Now”:

“It’s easy to join the global warming movement. We know it’s easy because we all just joined ourselves. None of us has spent long years as organizers. One of us has spent long years mostly as a writer with a little activism on the side; the rest of us haven’t spent long years doing anything except school, because we just got out of college.

But in 2007 we came together to see if we could kick up a fuss about climate change. That January 10, we launched a Web site, StepItUp2007.org. We asked people across the country to start organizing rallies for April 14, to demand that Congress cut carbon emissions 80 percent by 2050. We had no money, and we had no organization, so we had no expectations. Our secret hope, which seemed a little grandiose, was that we might organize a hundred demonstrations for that Saturday, only three months away.

Instead, our idea took off. The e-mails we sent ended up spreading virally, in the way that certain ideas sometimes do on the Internet. People we’d never heard of started signing up on the Web site to host rallies in places we’d never heard of. The electronic pins stuck on our online map got thicker by the week—200, 500, 900. By the time the big day rolled around, there were 1,400 demonstrations in all fifty states, ranging from tiny to enormous. It was one of the biggest days of grassroots environmental protest since the first Earth Day in 1970, covered extensively in the national media and in thousands of local stories across the country.

Along the way we learned a few lessons and we want to share them in this book, which is designed to help you plan and carry out your own ongoing local rallies and campaigns, the way the thousands of organizers we worked with did on April 14, 2007. We agreed to write it because, one, we haven’t quite managed to solve global warming yet and, two, we gained a few hard-earned ideas for how to make the most of two things: local communities and the Internet.”

Making sense of Goldman Sachs, Al Gore, 9/11, and the charade of global warming hysteria.

Let me cut to the chase: The two clipped articles below point toward support of several of my core contentions, some of which I have found strong opposition toward, even on blogs which I would consider “9/11 Truth friendly”.

1. 9/11 was carried out for the benefit of an elite that extends into what some consider bastions of our capitalist bedrock.

2. The corrupt power structure that is manipulating events and outcomes behind the scenes has nothing to do with Capitalism (or Marxism, etc.).

3. Al Gore is serving this same aforementioned elite with his global warming hysteria.

4. Tony Blair was not G. W. Bush’s poodle. George Bush is the elite’s poodle. “W” plays a village idiot rather than being one.

5. The “liberals”, tree huggers, environmental activists, etc. who are bringing massive support to the Al Gore led “Inconvenient Truth” are walking in lock step with the behind-the-scenes plans to use this issue for fun, profit and further manipulation of the geopolitics and power throughout the world.

Please go to the links below and read carefully. Put 2+2 together.

Concern about carbon dioxide emissions lurk behind rejection of new coal-fired power plants

Investors have rejected coal-fired generation as well; Texas-based utility TXU found itself under new ownership after announcing plans to build as many as 11 new coal-fired power plants. Instead, a private consortium of investors, including investment bank Goldman Sachs and private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., purchased the power generation company and last week changed its name to Energy Future Holdings Corporation after withdrawing eight of the planned applications.

“I look forward to working with management and employees to demonstrate our commitment to being a leading corporate citizen, to implementing stronger environmental policies, and to providing reliable and affordable power,” Donald Evans, new chairman of Energy Future, said in a statement last week.

It is interesting to note that the author of the following article seems clueless about what happened on 9/11 … seems to buy the govt. story. What a Chomsky!

He is railing against capitalism and imperialism, when what we are looking at, in the cases of 9/11, is cold blooded murder, facilitated by insiders, covered up at almost every level of our govt., media, and institutions, not the least of those being fake-opposition left.

There is a Hidden Agenda

Al Gore’s Wacky Facts

Imagine any other documentary–on
virtually any subject–that concluded with a line that declared
something like, “By the way, the world is flat.” The
producers and everyone associated with the movie would be the
laughing stock of the modern world. And yet, when it comes to
the claim that you can “reduce your carbon emissions to
zero,” Gore has been given a free pass. The obvious conclusion:
facts and science don’t really matter. What matters, it appears,
is how dedicated you are to the cause of publicizing what Gore
calls the “climate crisis.” And thus, Gore’s
evangelism, not his facts, earned him the Nobel.

Gore and UN panel win Nobel prize

Climate change campaigner Al Gore and the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change have been jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

Mr Gore, 59, was vice-president under Bill Clinton and has since devoted his efforts to environmental campaigning.

The UN’s IPCC, comprising 3,000 leading climate scientists, is the world’s top authority on global warming.

The Nobel committee said it wanted to help the world focus on the threat it faced from climate change.

Global Warming, the Great Lifesaver

Bjorn Lomborg says balmier weather could ward off millions of deaths.

Yes, Bjorn Lomborg, the controversial Danish economist, believes that “global warming is real and man-made.” But he is convinced that we are not thinking the problem through correctly and are, in fact, lost in a kind of green fog about how best to deal with global warming and other major environmental threats. In this excerpt from his new book, Cool It, Lomborg illustrates how a major climate-related killer goes underreported, while human deaths from heat waves make front-page news.

Ok, Kids, This is really scary, but you need to know:

Even though Mommy and Daddy went to school and learned a lot growing up, and we are able to provide a home and the best environment we can for you, we didn’t learn what is really going on in the world very well, and neither did our friends and neighbors. Some of us think that religion is a way to find the truth. However, let me share with you what the best evidence would suggest.

1. Religion is a way to mask and control people who don’t enjoy learning about and accepting reality.

2. Given that the average person does not even begin to want to embrace the truth, and become aware of the pyramidal control structure that the Elites use to manipulate populations and extract for themselves massive wealth and privilege, the opportunity for some more savvy reality-based humans to take advantage of others has become the standard fare upon Earth.

3. Although “Global Warming” and “Global Cooling” has been around on Earth as a cycle for millions of years, the Elites mentioned in #2 above need ways to steer humanity into buying into their plans. One of the ways that this steering happens is with a technique called “Problem, Reactions, Solution”, which has been used over and over again to scare or attract people toward playing roles that they have no idea that they are being fooled into performing.

4. These elites behind the scenes may not be a monolithic group. The may be infighting or competing factions. However, the evidence suggests that they have learned to play together very well. And, by playing nicely together, they get to have as much candy as they want, and everything that can be had on this Earth their heart desires.

5. Sometimes the Elite have to do ugly things to make sure people serve them. It seems that they have learned that this is the way our world works. They know that if they don’t do ugly things, someone will come along and be able to do ugly things to them.

6. Although there are no guarantees, Children, we as your parents would advise you to not cross these Elites by questioning the plans, or interfering. In fact, if you play along, and you are smart and cunning, you can join these Elites and have fun enjoying the riches to be gained.
